Been interested in parkour for a while now but not got round to doing anything about it. This year i hope to get into it. Duncan (coach with him) told me about this site and i thought id get involved!

Not done any parkour with others but me and dunc have had the random mess around at gym lol.

As fitness goes im reasonably fit and can pull off the occasional flip, handspring.

Looking forward to going out with a crowd, me and dunc where disscussing heading out one sat after gym.

Hope to hear about a sesh sometime soon.

Welcome to the forums Kiff,

Thats pretty cool that your a coach as well. What kind of level are you teaching?

The fact that your already in reasonable shape gives you a good advantage over a lot of the people who get into Parkour. Your fitness will let you pick things up a lot faster.

Now the weather is getting better and the forums are developing expect some jams in the near future.

Till then get involved in the forums.

Hey kiff, welcome As said, you'll advance quicker than most people if you're reasonably fit already, just don't give up if you mess up a vault or something and minorly hurt yourself, things get easier

I messed up a dash vault yesterday. Didn't lift my legs high enough, my ankles caught what I was vaulting, and needless to say it ended in a pretty epic faceplant A lot of it's confidence, I would've gotten away with it if I was confident enough to lift my legs higher really

Kiff thats pretty cool, I'm sure theres quite a bit you and Duncan will be able to teach us.

Ouch that sounds savage Alec, sounds like it didn't bother you too much though which is good.

Haha that's brutal, hope you didn't injure yourself too bad :P
Also welcome Kiff, thanks for taking the time to sign up and post! I don't doubt you will pick up rather quickly, it just takes time & dedication training. I'm assuming your at the Beacon then? I did gymnastics there for 7 years as a kid, before getting into parkour. I'd be well keen to see what it looks like after refurbishment, been sooo long since I've even been in there >_<
