| | Hi, new traceur here :)
Hi, my names's Alec, orr ozone45. I've been interested in the art of parkour for a while now, but never seriously considered it. I'm wondering were the best place to start is I'm 15 (16 in a week or so) and live about 40 miles outside aberdeen itself, in a village called New Deer.
I'm in reasonable physical condition, but the only thing is years of video games have taken their toll, and I wear glasses. Will this be much of a problem?
Thanks in advance! |

Hi, thanks for replying
What with the crappy weather, I can see how not much would've happened at the moment, heheh.
Me and some friends are planning on heading down to the Jam in st andrews on the 14th of march. We're catching a megabus from aberdeen. Anyone interested in going?

Theres a pretty good chance i'll come along.
I know that some of the guys who came to the meeting are going - so even if I can't make it there will be a few other guys from here.
They will be registering on here soon. Sent all the aberdeen guys a email telling them to register and get posting.

I'm pretty sure that by saying that you jinxed it. It's been raining non stop all day.
If the weather predicts rain a week before the st andrews jam - going to buy my bus ticket then- I'm going to be a wimp and bail on it.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of contacts, putting stuff in my eye is just a no for me
But ironically, I'd be okay with laser eye surgery.

As long as you don't get glass ones it's fine. I have 2weekly disposables - wear for 2 weeks, putting in fluid at night. Mine are really thin, they fit to my eyes as there made of silicon on something that you can fold in half with no damage to the lens.
This leads to them being really comfy. I don't notice their in unless I'm really tired and my eyes are dry , or playing to much guitar hero and not blinking for a while It's a great feeling not having to worry about glasses.
I'm with you on laser eye surgery, apparently my prescription hasn't changed in a good while so if that stays the same might get it within the year.
