Angry Injuries

Wondering what injuries people have got from Parkour training?

Me so far:

1st day:

Generally sore legs for about 5 days after first training session, was walking around like an old man haha.
Twisted my ankle doing a vault a couple of hours after training.. d'oh! Now I reckon after a whole afternoon of training it's probably best just to give your body a break in the evening.

2nd day:

strained one of my ab muscles within about 10 minutes of starting jumping.. going to have to add better core stretches into my warmups whenever I exercise, bit of an oversight :/ hopefully it will be usable by Saturday. I hate having to just sit around waiting to get better!

Looking forward to when my body is suitably toughened up and I can actually do some regular Parkour practice during the week as well! I thought I was in pretty good shape from going to the gym for the last few months, but doing Parkour really is training on another level

Hahaha, oh yeah, I find myself aching like crazy for a few days after each saturday, but I suppose at least it means I'm doing something
As for injuries, not much, my left legs pretty bruised and battered from an assortment of knocks, but nothing else so far

My only serious injury was a broken wrist. Not long after I had learned turn vaults I decided to try a pop turn vault in the rain. 100% my own fault for being daft.

I also developed a mild case of tendonitis in my elbow when I got obsessed with 1 handed chinups.

Apart from that no injury that has stopped me training for more than a week.

I remember once when I didn't really do parkour i tried to do some sort of vault, and I face planted a big puddle of someone's puke. That's it really.

That's nasty.

That sends chills up my man parts, and not in a good way.

Errr I had a pretty bad one when Danno and myself we'r in Corby. I attempted a kong to a really low wall, that I knew was out of my fear level, but i could possibly do it with the strength I thought I had. Lo and behold I jump-chicken out, straight away curl into a ball to early, plant my hands on the wall and BAM, nice tasty meaty cut, with some white untercoating which was either bone or something else just as juicy. Me being me I left it and boooooy did it swell. Anyways a day or two passed and the cut seems to be healing but theres still swelling, so the medicine man thought HEY lets put some deep freeze to ease the swelling. The Can comes out, I start spraying, then Danno the grey conjures up some fire and sets my leg alight. Then again I guess fire kills germs, he may have been doing me a favour, in some sick way.

Other than that just sprains ,strains , posties on railings, getting caught in chainlink, almost falling down a cliff, repeatadly kicked shins, heels to the chin and I made good friends with a sheep.

Ok not all of them are injuries, but I was getting into a roll.
