That sounds pretty sweet.

I would be up for this but I think I'm going to be in Thailand then.

If my holiday dates get changed around I'll be there - not booked yet.

Thanks for the update. Even if I don't make that jam I'm sure a few of us will be up for a trip some other time

Wow, that sounds pretty sweet What kind of skill level will be involved, and will it be centred on freerunning or have some pk?

Awesome, how weird would it be if we bumped into each other, or even stranger ended up on the same plane I'm not really sure about dates . Me and fiona are going. The dates we had planned to go can't be done now because shes got to be a witness in court. So I think late july, early august.

It looks great, so much to do. We are in the process of planning a route of sorts. Fiona's friend went and said it's pretty cheap to live, so we doing something similiar thing to them and aiming for about a month travelling round the main parts.

Which part you heading too and when are you going?

I used to make this distinction. After you've trained for a while you will realise its not a big deal. You will train with free runners and realise your training is 99% similiar. The only real difference is your outlook on WHY your training.
Having that kind of one or the other attitude won't benefit your training, infact it will quite possibly limit growth as a traceur if you don't make trips because its 'free runners'. Not saying that you are like that but I'm talking from experience. There was a while when I thought they were doing something totally different from us. I would take offence If people asked If I was freeruning.

The only think you might want to ask is If it's mainly going to be tricking. Thats a different thing to freerunning.

Anyway my 'freerunner hatred' days are long passed. Its all movement. Its all one.

Hahahaha, I don't think I hate freerunners, I just was concerned about the difference :P I know how a lot of freerunning centres on Flips of all sorts, which I suck at XD

While technically parkour is purely about the most efficent movement the training isn't like that.

Exhibit A: David Belle - Parkour Poster boy

Exhibit B : Sebastian Foucan - Freerunning Poster boy

They are both top level guys within their discipline but it sure looks similiar, infact theres more flips in the David Belle footage.
I'm not arguing for the sake of it. Parkour guys will train aesthetics and freerunning guys will also train for efficency of movement.

Don't worry about it man. I can't do flips, I'm going to learn this summer though. Next dry day me and Rory are heading down to the beach and just gonna spot each other till we got backflips down.

If you want to carry on our wee discusion you should make a new topic as we sort of hijacked OP's thread.

Haha, sorry my bad
Back on topic, would anyone be up for meeting us from the bus station/whatever? It'd probably be easiest if all of us interested in going went together.
