St Nick's falling apart?

I noticed yesterday that one of the slate slabs on the raised areas at St Nick's had fallen off.. hope they don't think that was us.. could have been a bike bashing into it or something?

If they do think it was us then they're probably going to get more aggressive about telling us to piss off, and we may have to find a new meeting place for a while

Yeah, I noticed that and thought the same. but a tonne of other ones are loose as well so its best to be careful there nowadays. I think the best we can do is maybe try and explore some new spots for a while, its bound to be repaired and show everyone we mean no harm.

If it was us, I suggest we try and fix it? Any more updates on what we think the cause it?

Really doubt it was us, as I didn't notice it on Saturday, but then found it like that on Sunday night when walking past. I think I did notice cracks in one of the slabs a few months ago - guess it's partially wear and tear over the years, and it's finally given up. There has been a lot of trials biking going on up there the last week or two, and I think that'll be causing way more impact than any of us.

Thats never going to happen. For the fact that they barely want us there, and becuase it would have to be an actual contractor with all the necessary forms ect ect, theres no way we would be fixing it, if it was us or not. The place hardly looks like its built to last, and with their plans of eventually redoing the place, I think it would be a waste of our time a resource to even bother about it. It is only a small slab but who wants to pay for it?

Also it's happened before. St Nicks gets vandalized on a yearly basis, so it's nothing out of the ordinary. They also have 24 hour security on the cameras so they deffinatly have footage of the break, so they will know what caused it .etc

I think there is nothing to worry about.

I may have sounded bitter, but when they out so much money into putting new signs up and painting steps, you wonder why they leave the rest of it like it is, there are quite a few trip hazards and broken slabs, but they just get left?
